Well-known for more than twenty years now, Céline Wright stands out in her generation for her sensitive and poetic approach firmly entrenched in nature. She set up her own workshop and studio with her designs made of Japanese Washi paper, known for its extreme lightness, therefore adaptable to large lamps.

She finds her inspiration in vegetal and mineral materials that inspire calm and serenity. "I am not opposed to modern technology, quite the contrary. Some of my creations use the most sophisticated technologies but natural ingredients that you want to touch predominate."

Céline Wright makes all her creations in her studio in Montreuil, France, all made by hand employing traditional techniques that she revisits and brings into the 21st century. She works with other artisans to produce these lamps and each one is unique as it is hand molded and structured. The finished cocoon is solid, non-flammable and emits a soft light.
