Our lighting, from Martinelli Luce

Martinelli Luce represents over fifty years of history dedicated to the production of lamps and lighting systems.

Martinelli Luce was founded in 1950 thanks to Elio Martinelli's intuition to build his own lighting fixtures for the commercial companies he was designing for. He began producing lamps for interiors, and increasingly turned his attention to domestic use.

Martinelli Luce fixtures are endowed with essential design and conceptual originality, assets that have been the basis of the company's philosophy for three generations.

It is from nature and geometry that Elio Martinelli draws his inspiration, creating functional lighting fixtures of highly innovative design, made from materials used according to their intrinsic characteristics.

This is how lamps such as the Foglia, Bolla, Serpente, Millepiedi, Dobermann, Rondini and Nuvole Vagabonde came into being. Simple shapes whose profound meaning has left its mark on the history of design, and which are still highly sought-after today. Some of these appliances, as well as others such as the Pipistrello and Ruspa, designed by architect Gae Aulenti, are housed in leading design museums.

Year after year, the Martinelli Luce range has been enriched by new fixtures such as the Profiterolle lamp, the Cobra, the Colibrì and the Poliedro, while retaining a good number of historic products that represent the expression of Italian design in the 60s and 70s. As a result, the company boasts an extensive collection that is still very much up to date.
