Anour is a Danish brand founded in 2007 by Arash Nourinejad. Anour is a contraction of its creator's first and last names, and also means "Light" in Farsi.

Arash Nourinejad developed Anour with the intention of producing handcrafted contemporary lighting, driven by creativity and obsession with detail, his aim being to design lighting that stands the test of time.

Anour's vision is perfection through simplicity. Combining sleek contemporary forms with the best possible technology is the house's perfect blend to create functional, minimalist lighting.

This quest for excellence is reflected in the choice of natural materials (steel, copper, brass, chrome) and in the production methods, handcrafted in keeping with Danish traditions.

The purity emanating from these luminaires is brought to the forefront by the Cordless system, featured notably on their flagship I-Model suspension luminaire, a technology that merges suspension and power cables into a very thin wire. Virtually invisible to the naked eye, the result is a work that gives the impression of floating in mid-air.

In 2022, Anour inaugurates its new showroom in the heart of Copenhagen to present its creations, as well as a new workshop in Rodovre. The brand is constantly developing and improving its standards to offer creations of ever-increasing quality.

"Ultimately, I strive for perfection in my work. Despite my experience as a manufacturer, architect and designer, I'm constantly exploring new ways to refine and improve our products and processes."
